Billie LaNoy

Funeral services for Billie LaNoy, 91, Davis were held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Johnny Tonihka officiating. Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Billie was born September 13, 1930, in Coalgate, to the late Henry and Gertrude (Jones) LaNoy. He died Thursday, July 14, in Davis. Billie married the former Ms. Thelma Lee “Dolly” Buckaloo and from this union were born four children, Debra, Terry, Patricia, and Rickey.

At the young age of four, Billie and his family moved from Coalgate to west of Davis, where he attended school at Woodland.

He spent several years working in the oil field; however, his main work was primarily commercial hay hauling.

Survivors include his daughter, Debra Roe, and son, Rickey LaNoy, both of Davis; seven grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and the mother of his children, Billie was preceded in death by one son, Terry Wayne LaNoy; one daughter, Patricia Diane Ellett; brother, Clarance LaNoy; and two sisters, Ruby Holt, and Rachel Dickinson.
