Billy Ray Holt

Graveside services for Billy Ray Holt, 92, of Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Military services were performed by the U.S. Army Honors Team. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home, of Sulphur.

Billy was born June 25, 1930 in Durant, to Delbert Ray and Lou Ellen (Mitchell) Holt. He passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Sulphur, at the age of 92 years and 3 days.

Billy grew up in Durant where he attended school. He was veteran of the Korean war where he received the Purple Heart Award and was the Welter Weight Glove Champion of his division. He had worked as a program/analyst.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Monte Ray.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Holt and Barry Holt; seven grandchildren; and two sisters,Wanda Holt and Joyce Anglin.
