Carol Ann (York) Chandler

CarolAnn (York) Chandler, 66, of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.

Carol was born on July 15, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas to James L. York and Cleona M. (Patten) York. She grew up living in many states, attending Newfound Memorial High School in Bristol, New Hampshire, before the family moved to Sulphur, in 1975. She had three children and spent several years in Grapevine, TX, later returning to Sulphur to live out the rest of her life near family.

Carol worked as a cook at the Chickasaw Motor Inn Restaurant, at the sewing factory as a steam press operator in Sulphur, and as a quality inspector for Four Seasons and WRICO in Grapevine, TX. She loved music, reading mystery novels, and playing games.

Carol was preceded in death by both her parents; sister, Linda K. (York) Brock; and brother, Charles W. York.

She is survived by two brothers, James L. and Kenneth W. York, of Sulphur; three children, Michael Tilton of Sulphur, David Tilton (Lisa) of Northglenn, CO and Heather Rodrigues of Sulphur; and six grandchildren, Demayo, Aden, Davin, Coye, Kara and Adalyn.

A family service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the Chickasaw National RecreationArea, Bromide Pavilion, Sulphur.
