Charley Samuel Kirby

Graveside services and a U.S. Honors Team Military Service for Charley Samuel Kirby, 97, of Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Sept.17, 2021 at Drake Cemetery officiated by Rev. Eddie Dye. Burial followed under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home.

Charley was born March 16, 1924 in Sulphur to Jesse Grant and Vera (Renegar) Kirby. He passed away Monday, Sept. 13, in Ardmore, at the age of 97 years, 5 months and 27 days.

He was married to Nadine Cothren Kirby, who preceded him in death. Charley grew up in the Nebo area, where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Army and had worked in the Davis Quarry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lawanna Gayle Elkin, and his wife, Nadine Kirby.

He is survived by his son, Randall Kirby, of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Melanie Kirby, Shelley Gilbert and Shawndra Miller;10 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. online condolences may be sent to www.dearmanfuneralhome.com
