Dana Faye (Brooks) Rose Ayers

Dana Faye (Brooks) Rose Ayers, 80, of Davis, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 16, in Moore. She was born January 11, 1941, in Pauls Valley, to William Houston Brooks and Alma Faye Ward Brooks.

Dana graduated from Wynnewood High School and subsequently graduated from Barber School at Ada. She most enjoyed spending time with her friends and family along with raising pets and livestock on the ranch where she lived since 1960. Her passion was raising flowers and plants which was obvious by her flower gardens around the house and a huge vegetable garden while raising a family in the early years. Dana worked as a cook for the Wynnewood schools for eight years and spent 13 years working in the kitchen in the Oklahoma Resource Center (State School). She was a founding member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Archie, Earnest, Earl, William, and Robert Brooks; and one sister, Beulah Chaffin. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Dean Rose and Joe Tom Ayers.

Dana is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Tricia Rose of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Byron “Keith” and Brigette Rose of Columbus, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Alicia Rose of Davis; son and daughter-in-law, James and Dayna Rose of Moore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Wynnewood, with Brother David Brooks and Bob Ashley officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.

Services were “entrusted to” Hale Funeral Home of Davis, Oklahoma.
