Donna Marie Smith

Donna Marie Smith, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home in Sulphur. Donna was born on October 6, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harry and Maude (Meely) Cruse.

Donna graduated from Douglas High School in Oklahoma City. After graduating, she went on to attend Draughons Business School and later on moved from Oklahoma City to Sulphur. Donna married Clyde Martin Smith on July 3, 1976. She worked for Tribal Health with the Chickasaw Nation until May of 2023.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Maude Cruse; four brothers and one sister.

Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her five children, Denise LaFountain and husband Jack, Tonya Knight and husband Daniel, Crystal Smith and husband Jeremy Watson, Candice Smith and partner Tel Loper, and Nathan Smith; four granddaughters, Morgan, Alexis, M’Lis, Lala; five grandsons, Keegan, Jackson, Malique, Marcus and Tahj; two great grandsons, Talon and Mylo; one great granddaughter, Rayah; sister, Lavella Allison; and a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss her.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Sandy Baptist Church in Sulphur with Rev. Steve Wall and Rev. Charles Farve officiating.
