Eileen Mildred Woods

Services for Eileen Mildred Woods, 85, Mill Creek, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Pastor David Woods officiating. Interment will be held at Tushka Cemetery in Tushka under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka.

Born on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1937 in Springtown, Texas to Dewitt Talmadge and Lena Josephine (Blackmon) Stone, she passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Sulphur at the age of 85 years, nine months and 16 days.

She married Freddy Lee Woods on Saturday, March 30, 1957 at Ft. Worth, TX. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing on May 22, 2013.

Eileen was a Christian. She attended school in Poolville, Texas and was a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and loved cooking and spending time with family.

She is survived by three daughters, Joy Gail Zauner of Mill Creek, Cathy Tyree of Oklahoma City, and Brenda Mize and husband, Patrick of Mill Creek; grandchildren, Angela Zimmerman of Jones, Erica Pointer of Edmond, Rikki Dohmann of Davis, Ashley Wilson and husband, Brandon of Oklahoma City, Randi Gail Burleson and husband, Brad of Sulphur, Thomas Henderson of Sulphur; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Felton Stone of Poolville, TX, and Orville Stone and wife, Pat of Run Away Bay, TX; two stepsons, Billy Joe Woods of Montana, and David Woods and wife, Joy of Bray; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt Talmadge and Lena Josephine Stone; husband, Freddy Lee Woods; daughter, Darlene Pointer; son-in-law, Mike Tyree; granddaughter, Tamera Ogle; brother, Ed Stone; and sister, Ruth Conger.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jeremy Bennett, Russell Dohmann, Thomas Henderson, Brandon Wilson, Zachary Wilson, and TJ Zimmerman.
