Eva Jo (Thomasson) Meador

Eva Jo Meador was born September 26, 1939, on the Thomasson family farm, northeast of Davis, to the late Lee and Lois (Farris) Thomasson. She died Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Lexington at 83 Eva grew up in Davis, working on the family farm and dairy. In 1956, she married the late Bobby Joe Meador, Sr. and to this union was born two sons, Mike and Bobby, Jr. Eva spent much of her life working as a cook at several restaurants in Davis, Sulphur, and Wynnewood. After retiring in the early 1990’s she spent her time doing art and crafts.

Survivors include her son, Mike Meador and wife Darlene of Davis; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Glenda Harper, and Gail Johnston; and daughter in law, Sherri Meador.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Joe Meador, Jr; and four siblings, Nita Adams, Ronald Thomasson, Wilma Hughes, and Beverly Pence.

Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov.8, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, with Brother Randy Chapman officiating.
