Frederick Orr (Fred) Smith

Services for Frederick Orr (Fred) Smith, 75, of Stratford, were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Compassion Church in Stratford, officiated by Rev Sean McKinney. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.

Fred was born September 13, 1946 in Felt, Oklahoma to George Elwood and Mary (Doop) Smith.

He passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 in Stratford, at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Fred married Darlene (Moore) Smith in Pampa, Texas on September 24, 1988. He grew up in the Felt area, and graduated from Felt High School. Fred had lived in this area for over 30 years, working as a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by parents; son, Daniel Tolbert; and four siblings.

Fred is survived by his wife, Darlene Smith, of Stratford; daughter, Theresa Hardee, of Muskogee; sons, Jim Johnson and Amanda, of Rio Rancho, NM, Frederick Orr Smith and Kandace, of Tishomingo, Joseph Elwood Smith and& Alisha, of Stratford, and David Tolbert; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jes Smith, Butch Smith, Steven Johnson, Joseph Smith, Andy Tolbert, and Nick Tolbert.
