Frieda Marie Duty Voyles

Graveside services for Frieda Marie Duty Voyles will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Frieda was born September 5, 1931, in Chandler, to the late Williams Dewey Brown and Ruby Lucile (Daufain) Brown. She entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug. 25, in Bethany, following a lengthy battle with dementia.

She and Ronald Duty, from Stroud, married in 1949, making their home in Pampa, TX, prior to moving to Davis in 1952.

She worked as deputy clerk for the Murray County Tax Assessor for 17 years. Upon the retirement of Assessor Curtis Sharp, Frieda was elected as the Murray County TaxAssessor. Survivors include one daughter, Ronette Ezell of Bethany; son, Morris Duty and wife Wanda of Port Orange, FL; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Charlene Duty of Davis and Pat Smith of Valiant; nieces, nephew, step-children, step-grandchildren and their families.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frieda was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma McDonald and one brother, Curtis Brown.
