Gloria Jacqueline “Jackie” French

The daughter of the late, Morris “Chuck” Keeton and Louise Morris, Jackie was born on August 13, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and passed away in the local hospital on May 20, 2022 at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 7 days.

A life-long resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Jackie graduated from Ardmore High School in the class of 1952. She and Kenneth R. French were married on September 15, 1978 at the Lake Murray Village of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She and Kenneth attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was very active. Jackie retired from SW Bell after 30 years of service. Later working another 10 years with Oklahoma Natural Gas. Jackie had also volunteered with Mercy Hospital as a Pink Lady.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth French; daughter, Michelle Howard and husband Robbie; sons, Mike Boyett, Greg French and wife Julie and Stan French and wife Mary; grandchildren, Whitney Blevins and husband Tyson, Kate Henry and husband Kyle, Randi Wilkins, Taylor Beatley and husband Coby, Hailee Howard, Kenneth French, Jodi French and Crystal French; great grandchildren, Libby Blevins, Blake Henry, Bella Wilkins and Newt Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Winston Keeton.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Donny Custar officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Boyd Howell, Ken Page, Ike Kyle, Verlon Duggan, Charlie Adams and Mark Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers were members of her Sunday School Class. The family received friends Monday evening from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
