JB Capehart

Memorial services for JB Capehart, of Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, at Crossway Baptist Church Chapel with Matt Simon, Benny Wallace and Donn Spellman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home, of Sulphur.

Born July 2, 1954 in Comanche, to J. E. and Mary (Smith) Capehart, he gained his wings on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Sulphur, at the age of 68 years and 24 days. JB grew up in the Fox and

JB grew up in the Fox and Graham area where he attended school. He had lived in Sulphur the past 35 years, working at Sulphur High School as custodian until his retirement. He also served in the National Guard.

JB married Janice Wallace on December 20, 1974 in Tishomingo. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Datra Marie; two sisters, Ruby Simon and Rosie Capehart; and a brother, Delbert Capehart.

He is survived by daughter, Elisa Hudson and husband, Russell, of Sulphur; a bonus son, Evan “Smiley” Wallace and wife, Gaylene, of Davis; two grandchildren, Shalynn and Russell Hudson; two sisters, Lesie Faye Bulla, of Sulphur and Ettie Justus, of Healdton; and several nieces and nephews.
