Judy Lynn Stehr

Judy Lynn Stehr, daughter of Mary (Bachus) and Don Stehr (both deceased), was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2022. Judy was born in Sulphur, December 23, 1960, and was a lifelong citizen of Murray County. After completing her education in Sulphur Public Schools, Judy worked in health related fields at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital and in private home care for several individuals throughout Murray County.

After finally giving into a childhood crippling disability, Judy had to give up working in the public and became a loving, caring, and spoiling surrogate grandmother figure to the children in her circle of friends. Having never married and having children of her own, she loved being a kind, sympathetic role model to as many children as she could. She will be greatly missed by all the children and parents she touched with her love. She will also be missed by her precious therapy cats, Patches and Minnie Mouse.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Stehr; and one nephew, Brandon Stehr.

She leaves behind three aunts, Marilyn Casale, Joan Cimino, and Ruth Whilham; one great aunt, Ida Kramer; and a host of cousins, all of whom live in Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind one step nephew, Andrew Nipp of Wynnewood. And most important of all, she leaves behind her West 14th Street Church of Christ brothers and sisters, and a host of worldwide fellow Christians who have ever attended the annual, Historic Tabernacle 4th of July Meeting in Sulphur.

By request of the deceased, no public services will be held and her cremains are being handled by the Oklahoma Cremation and Funeral Services in Oklahoma City. May she rest in peace and be surrounded by all the train whistles she wishes in the Gloryland.
