Judy Ruth Orsborn

Judy Ruth Orsborn, of Stratford, was born September 19, 1949, in Sulphur, to the late John E. and Helen L. (Shorter) Orsborn. She died on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 23 days.

At the early age of seven, Judy and her family moved from Sulphur to Hereford, TX. After graduating from Hereford High School, she married and to this union were born three sons, Scott, Brad, and Gabe. For many years, Judy was a stay-at-home mother caring for her sons. Later, she returned to Oklahoma, residing in Stratford. In 1992, she enrolled at the Seminole Junior College, graduating in 1995 with an associate degree. She then spent several years working as a lab technician at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed making candles, fishing, and raising Schnauzer dogs.

Survivors include her longtime companion, Jim Peters; three sons, Scott Meyers, Brad Meyers and wife Neda, and Gabe Meyers; as well as two grandchildren, Lani and Skylor Meyers.

Graveside funeral services were Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur. Buddy Runyan officiated the service. Services were “Entrusted to” Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
