Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Riddle

Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Riddle

Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Riddle was born August 14, 1959, in Wynnewood, to Silas Gene and Zella Vere (Clark) Riddle. He died on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023, in Sulphur, at the age of 64 years. He married Creda Melinda Hardesty on May 18, 1979, in Hickory. Together, they raised two children, Charee` and Colt.

Growing up the son of a rancher, the “cowboy way of life” was instilled in Kenny at an early age. His love for ranching and the outdoors were solid to his core. He spent his life working with several area ranches and farms. Kenny was a very hardworking man who could do anything he set his mind to. Whether it be welding, mechanicing or doing farm labor, he gave it his all. His family and friends often referred to the outcome as “Riddle Rig’n.”

Kenny spent countless hours team roping with his family and friends. He was very much a family man and enjoyed spending time with each of them, especially his grandchildren. He was the type of man that would do anything for anyone. In his spare time, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kenny was a retired member of the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Dept, as well as a member of the Ravia Baptist Church.

Kenny and Creda did not believe blood was what made someone family. Because of this belief, their home was open to countless friends that they regarded as bonus family members. The love they had for their bonus family members was the same as their true family.

Survivors include his wife, Creda; daughter, Charee` Logsdon and husband Kenneth of Fitzhugh; son, Colt Riddle and wife Amanda of Mill Creek; seven grandchildren, Shane, Joel, Brody, Logsdon, Katelynn, Brooklynn, Coyt, and Cactus “Tuff;” his mother, Zella Riddle; bonus son, Chris Allen and wife Cherokee and their four children, Grayson, Tucker, Brandon and Bre; sister, Vickie Farmer and husband Randy; and brother, Joe Dan Riddle.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Silas Riddle, and his in-laws, whom he loved dearly, Charles and Iva Hardesty.

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 at the Ravia Baptist Church with Pastor Trent Maness officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.

Services are entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur. Online condolences may be offered at halesfuneralhomes.com.
