Linda Faye Goforth

Linda Faye Goforth was born on January 19, 1948, in Vera, OK, to the late Calvin George and Lora Winona (Jackson) Gosvener. She died Sunday, Nov. 27, in Davis, at the age of 74.

Linda grew up in the Vera area. She spent most of her career working in the healthcare industry as a Certified Medical Assistant. Twenty+ years of that time was spent with Burford Manor Nursing Home in Davis.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Faye Pink of Oklahoma City, Stacie Renee Sims and husband Rusty of Davis, and Melissa Daryl Garner of Davis; two sons, Gerald Louis Shepherd of Tulsa, andArthur James Shepherd of McAlester; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as four siblings, Eddie Gosvener of Talala, Douglas Gosvener of Ramona, Pat Mefford of Talala, and Rita Gosvener of Locus Grove.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Allen Goforth in 1999; one daughter, Angela Lynn Thomas; one granddaughter, Alesia Fawn Mefford; and three siblings, George Gosvener, Jessie Gosvener, and Delores Roberts.
