Linda Sue Porter

Memorial services for Linda Sue Porter, 69, of Springer, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, at DeArman Funeral Home, in Sulphur.

Linda Sue (Crisp) Porter was born April 5, 1953 in Millington, Tennessee, to William Henry Crisp and Peggy Lou (Sanders) Crisp. She passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, in Ardmore. Linda was raised in Sulphur. She attended and graduated Sulphur High School in 1971.

In December of 1996, Linda married Walter Porter. They lived in Arkansas and Tennessee before residing in Springer. Linda had two children from a previous marriage, Leann (Wells) Bruton, and Brian David Wells.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Crisp and Peggy Lou Crisp, and a daughter Leann Bruton.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Porter; one son, Brian Wells and wife Brandy; one sister, Kathy Webb, two brothers, Billy Crisp and wife Bambi, Mark Crisp and wife Kelly; three step-sons, Brad Porter and family, Heath Porter, Jeff Porter and family, and her grand ones, Lauren McCathern and husband Preston, Morgan Culwell and husband Callen, Matthew Wells, Megan Wells, and one great grand one, Miss Paisley Ann McCathern, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The memorial service will be held at Dearman’s Funeral Home, and a private graveside will be held at a later date.
