Graveside services for Mary Ledbetter were held 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at the Troy Cemetery, with Brother Claud Williams officiating.

Mary was born December 10, 1940, in Spokane, WA, to the late Glenn T. and Marjorie E. (Edwards) Tollefson. She died on Monday, August 8, 2022, in Tishomingo, at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 28 days. Mary and Nickey Paul “Nick” Ledbetter were married on December 26, 1981, in Kaufman County, TX.

Mary grew up in Spokane, where she graduated from high school. She spent 14 years working as a clerk for Ford Motor Credit, prior to spending six years working as a cross country truck driver hauling chemicals. Her final eight years of working was with Toyota Motor Credit, where she retired as a supervisor.

Mary was a very loving individual.

She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross-stitch sewing, watching NASCAR and dirt track racing, and reading her bible. Mary and Nick spent many years traveling together and enjoyed every second of it. One of her most favorite hobbies was cleaning which to her home and surroundings always being spotless.

Survivors include her husband, Nick; daughter, Shelley Lee Lawrence and husband, James of Safford, AZ; son, Michael Aldridge Ledbetter and wife, Mary of Wills Point, TX; four granddaughters, Amanda Phillips and husband, Shane, Casie Smith and husband,Travis, Rebecca Lawrence, and Brittny Caughron and husband, Kaleb; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Fry and husband, Gary.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Joann Tollefson.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite for Children Hospital of Dallas, TX.
