Orville Clinton Towler

Orville Clinton Towler

Orville Clinton Towler was born to John Junior and Agnes Marie (Chandler) Towler on May 18, 1958, in Sulphur. He passed away on October 29, 2022, in Oklahoma City. Orville was a lifetime resident of Garvin and Murray county, Oklahoma.

Orville attended elementary and middle school in Wynnewood and high school in Sulphur where he graduated in 1976. While attending high school, he lived with his Uncle Tuffy Lee, whom was very dear to him, and worked on Tuffy Lee’s Dairy Farm while also working in the school cafeteria, and Sooner Rock.

On February 2, 1976, he married Beverly Whitaker and they had three children, Jamie, Clinton, and Kristin. They lived in Chigley while Orville continued to work at Sooner Rock in Davis, for two more years.

In 1978, they moved to Wynnewood and Orville started working for Louis Perry. Orville was a farmer and a rancher. He was a very dedicated and hard-working man who spent countless hours in the hayfield until the job was done. He was also a jack of all trades, a great welder, gardener, skilled carpenter, mechanic, chicken guru, and avid hunter and fisherman.

He loved to “hunt for horns” as he would say. When he wasn’t working or hunting he liked to ride his four-wheeler with friends on the river and fish for catfish. Orville was also a great cook and enjoyed having large cookouts for friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie; brother, Buddy, and six sisters, Brenda, Vickie; Marylin, Kay, Kathy, and Karen.

He is survived by his son, Clinton and wife Kami Towler of Mill Creek; two daughters, Jamie Evans and Kristin Martin, both of Wynnewood, and one brother, Robert Towler of Wynnewood; three sisters, Donna Barnes and Debbie Towler of Wynnewood and Sandy Gower of Pauls Valley; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Landon Evans, Logan, Ashlee and Larissa Lopez, Clinton Gage, Kayla, Kaxton, and Kirklan Towler, along with many nieces and nephews.

Orville was a very kind and loyal friend. He was someone you could always count on and would jump to help anyone he could at any time.
