Rejah LoVell Walker

Graveside services for Rejah LoVell Walker, 85, Sulphur, were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery officiated by Rev Bill Leveridge. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home.

She passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021.

Rejah was born August 14, 1936 in Sulphur, to John Howard Moore and Lorrene Mitchell. Rejah attended Sulphur schools and went on to marry Dale C. (Bill) Walker on June 8, 1953.

Bill and Rejah lived in Sulphur where they owned and operated Walker Shop. Rejah enjoyed being a housewife and mother to their three children. Rejah loved sewing for their children and chaperoning many school events over the years.

In addition, she was an avid bowler and loved bowling at Suburban Lanes with her women’s bowling league (Bill’s Beavers) as well as the co-ed league where she and Bill bowled together. Rejah also volunteered as a poll worker during elections.

Rejah loved her friends and family. She loved to laugh and play practical jokes. She went above and beyond to make the holidays extra special and filled the house full of love and homemade recipes she would work so diligently to perfect for each and every holiday season.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 58 years, Bill Walker; her parents; her brother, Reedy Lee Moore; sister, Mary LaDayne Williams, and grandsons, John Paul Lawrence and Christopher John Lawrence.

Rejah is survived by her three children,Warren Walker and wife, Chris, of Wichita Falls, TX, Barbara Lanter and husband, Wally, of Davis, and Patricia Richardson and husband, Michael, of Schertz, TX; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jerry Walker, Kenny Walker, Jaxon Walker, Brandon Bolding, Brent Deen, and Brecken Deen. Honorary Bearers were Donald Green and Ronald Green.
