Richard Dale Nanney

Richard Dale Nanney was born November 6, 1953, he entered eternal rest on January 16, 2022, at the age of 68.

Richard was born in Sulphur and raised in the Mill Creek. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, gardening, working around the house, and watching his favorite westerns.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Nanney of Sulphur; children, Cheryl and husband, Bill Garland of Sulphur, Michael and wife, Pam Nanney of Sulphur, Brandy Wells and fiancé, Aaron Rogers of Indiana, and Cynthia and husband, Joe Claxton of Wellston, OK; grandkids, Austin Gibson, Cecily Inman, Richelle Inman, Stormy Nanney, Quinton Nanney all of Sulphur, Keeley Bowen and husband, Michael of Marlow, Kaci Garland and Mitchell Kiddie of Sulphur, Logan Muncy of Indiana, and Alexandria “Alex” Wells of Indiana, Cameron Claxton, Donovan Claxton, both of Wellston; siblings, Wanda Powell of Chickasha, Gene Nanney of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Shirley Smith of Oklahoma City, David Nanney of Davis, Bill Nanney of Pauls Valley, Norma Gee of Davis, and Donna Black of Mustang; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Nanney; father, Willie (Bill) Nanney; and brother, Willie Nanney.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, in Mill Creek, at the First Baptist Church.
