Ronald Hank Richardson

Ronald Hank Richardson, 86, of Sulphur, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in Sulphur. Ronald was born on January 10, 1938 in Wister, Oklahoma to Jewel P. “Dick” and Nellie Marie (McAlester) Richardson. He grew up in Oklahoma City where he attended school until moving to Sulphur in 1981.

Ronald served his country in the United States Navy. He married Jean Myrick on September 12, 1967 in Oklahoma City, they were married until her passing on November 23, 2020.He spent his working years at Haliburton and later went on to Uniroyal working as a mechanic. Ronald loved team roping with his son Jeff. His style of roping earned him the nickname “Duck Off”.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeff Richardson.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his son, Michael Richardson and wife Patricia of SanAntonio, Texas; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister, Kay Chaffin and husband Paul of Sulphur and a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Military services were held by the United States Navy Team. Interment was held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Those serving as pallbearers are Brandon Bolding, Brad Frazier, Bryce Bumpass and David Swarb.
