Russell Joe Fine
Russell Joe Fine was born October 30, 1949, in Tulsa, to the late Paul A. and Ruby (McMurtrey) Fine, Sr. He died on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 20 days. Russell and the former Ms. Sharon Lee Williams were united in marriage on November 8, 1968, in Ada. This union was blessed with one daughter, Michelle.
Early in his life, Russell resided in the Sallisaw and Wewoka areas, prior to his family settling in Davis. Following his high school graduation from Davis, in 1967, he continued his education at East Central University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business. Russell spent several years owning and operating Fine Family Clothing Stores in Pauls Valley and Ardmore, prior to spending time in Dallas working as an insurance adjuster. Russell and his family later returned to Davis, where he assisted with the family-owned clothing store, The Trading Center, in Sulphur. After his parents retired and sold the business, Russell then spent the remainder of his working career with Remmington Apparel doing service merchandising for large clothing stores across the U.S., retiring in 2015.
Russell spent much of his spare time playing golf, traveling, and reading. One of his most cherished enjoyments was spending time with his family, especially his grandsons and great-grandson.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; daughter, Michelle Pasierb and husband Frank of Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Joey Pasierb and wife Shauni, and Sam Pasierb; one great-grandson, Jackson Pasierb; one sister, Patti Martin and husband Van of Yukon; as well as his mother-in-law, Lora Williams of Davis.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death one brother, Paul Fine, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Davis. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
