Shelly Schwake

Shelly Schwake passed away on December 3, 2021, in her home in Sulphur, surrounded by her family.

Shelly was born on August 16, 1964, to May and Bert Williams in Marlow. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1982. Shelly received a bachelor’s in 1988 and a master’s in 1993 from East Central University. She married the love of her life, Charlie Schwake, on March 30, 1991. She had two children, Jon and Madison Schwake.

Shelly dedicated her professional career to the mental health field as a licensed professional counselor. She was an avid reader and traveler. Shelly had an active role in her children’s lives. She volunteered as a cub scout leader, cogirl scout troop leader, and Sulphur Band Booster President.

Shelly is survived by her husband, Charlie Schwake of Sulphur; daughter, Madison Schwake of Sulphur; son, Jon Schwake of Oklahoma City, and three brothers.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
