Services for Sheri Kay Addington, 56, of Sulphur, will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 16, 2022 at Crossway Baptist Church Saturday with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.

Sheri was born November 13, 1965 in El Paso, Texas to Paul and Judi (Knowles) Mauldin. She passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 in Sulphur at the age of 56 years, 4 months and 8 days.

Sheri grew up in El Paso, graduating from Andress High School in El Paso, Texas. She was the featured twirler with the band, and was the only twirler the Andress band ever had. She was a speech language pathologist, and had earned her bachelors at Texas Women’s University and her masters at New Mexico State University.

Sheri loved working with children and that was what she did for the majority of her career. She worked at various elementary schools, but found the job God created for her at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She was able to use her skills as an interpreter for the deaf as well as her degree in speech pathology to serve her students. She worked in home health before going to work as a speech pathologist at OSD.

She attended Crossway Baptist Church, and had lived in Sulphur the past five years.

Sheri is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jeff, of the home in Sulphur; daughter, Breauna Renae Addington, of Oklahoma City; parents, Paul and Judi Mauldin, of El Paso,Texas; brother, Doug Mauldin, of El Paso, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
