Wes Foster

Wes Foster, 43, of Stratford, passed from this life on May 26, 2023 in Plano, Texas. Wes was born on September 6, 1979 in Hope, Arkansas to Sherry and David Robinson and Mark Foster.

Wes worked at the Wynnewood Refinery. He married the love of his life Lacy Hunter on July 19, 2005 in Stratford. A cowboy. Not a 10 heeler. Not a 45 pt bronc stomper. His dogs might run a deer. He was a cowboy. He loved his stock. He loved his family. He loved his friends.Always there. He was faithful, and loved the earth he was granted to care for. He would leave in the middle of the night to search for a child that was not to be found. Flawless? Not by any means. He was full of life. I can’t tell you any story he told, because I was laughing at the animations! He made me happy. He was a cowboy. His dream. Love of man, love of stock, and love of earth. Wes was a life well lived. I will miss him as well as many others will. He was a great friend, family man, and person. That’s all a man can desire to be called. His reward is well deserved. I will always call him my friend. Gone too soon but never forgotten.

Wes was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Robinson and maternal grandparents, Johnny Junior Shewbirt and Ruthie Helene Shewbirt; paternal grandparents, Barney and Idell Foster.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Lacy Foster; father, David Robinson and step mother, Starla Robinson; children, Brook Baker and husband Chris, Anna Foster, Tyler Miner, Raney Foster, Kash Stanfield and Emma Foster; grandchildren, Myles Miner, Sawyer Baker and Ellie Baker and a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. ,Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Reverend Ronnie Qualls officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Cemetery.
