The Story Of The Buffalo Knives

I am a knife maker. I decided to make a knife that would mark, not celebrate, the end of an outstanding period of American history. It was the killing-off of the American Bison. The knife is called the Green River Skinner. The knife was made by the Green River Knife Company in Green River, Mass. It is a long-curved blade butcher knife. I embedded the cartridge head of the ammo used into the handle, 45-70 Govt. This would mark one of the saddest periods in American history.

Work Left to Be Done

Work Left to Be Done

The activity during the first session of the 117th Congress last year was unfortunately marked by partisanship and political games. Controlling both chambers of Congress and the White House, Democrats focused primarily on advancing radical and expensive policy items, irresponsibly neglecting to complete basic functions of Congress or to address actual challenges facing the American people. Indeed, going into the second session this year, there is still much work to be done. However, it can only be accomplished through bipartisan and bicameral cooperation.

Memories Of Mary E. Stanton

Memories Of Mary E. Stanton

I was born in Denton County, Texas, July 6, 1873. I moved with my parents to the Indian Territory in 1889. There were three families and three wagons in our caravan. I was in high school when I left Texas and how I wept when I had to leave my friends and come to such a wild country. The parents of the boy I married came as we did, so I soon became reconciled. We camped at Thackerville the first night in the Territory. We crossed Red River on a flat boat at Thacker’s Ferry. We were all afraid of the Indians and none of us slept much that night.

Biden’s Destructive First Year

Biden’s Destructive First Year

At the beginning of 2021, President Joe Biden entered office as the 46th President of the United States promising to usher in hope, bipartisanship and to rebuild our country after the coronavirus pandemic. However, his first year has unfortunately been fixated on partisan, out-of-touch polices that have triggered several converging crises nationwide. Sadly, President Biden has managed to push our nation into a worse place than it was before.
