Davis Area Inmate Escapes From Garvin County Jail

A man who led Murray County authorities on a pursuit in April, 2017, ending in the crash and injury of a deputy, escaped from the Garvin County Jail in Pauls Valley on Monday and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

According to Garvin County sheriff’s office, Jason Glen Willis, 32, broke free about 9:30 a.m. while being escorted by a detention deputy in the courthouse. During his escape, Willis physically assaulted the deputy and fled through an emergency exit.

Officials said the deputy suffered minor injuries in incident.
