ON LOCK DOWN
As the nation grinds to a crawl over the spread of the Coronavirus, life in Sulphur and Murray County, although not yet affected with any cases, is moving in that direction.
Numerous closures were announced this week and the war officially began on all fronts to fight the invisible killer stalking communities nationwide, the COVID-19 virus.
Murray County Hospital Administrator Jeremy Jones said Monday there are no official cases of the COVID-19 in their clinics or emergency rooms but it is all hands on deck at the facility.
“As of today, there have seen no suspected cases of COVID-19 in our emergency department or outpatient clinics,” he said. “Over the next several weeks it is likely we will see patients with signs and symptoms. We are taking precautions and preparing for treatment of those patients.”
