Memorial Bricks Going Down At Sulphur Veterans Park
Memorial bricks were laid last week at the Veterans Memorial at the West 11th Street Park in Sulphur. More than 306 bricks have been sold thus far in memory of veterans who lived in Murray County at least five years prior or five years after serving in the military. The monument features the names of Murray County residents who were killed in combat.
The bricks are sold by the American Legion Post 148 for $30.00 each. Each brick is limited to three lines and 15 spaces each line with names of the veteran, rank, branch of service, and service dates.
