An Arbuckle Lake area home was a total loss after a fire broke out about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, according to Sulphur acting fire chief Pete Haines.
Haines said the fire began in the northwest corner of the one-story brick structure and quickly spread to the attic, forcing firemen into a defensive posture. Haines said high wind yesterday was a factor in the quick spread of flames.
