Powerful winds last Sunday wrecked havoc on a number of locations in southern and southwestern Murray County including this home on Chickasaw Trail and Primrose Lane where a tree fell across the corner of the structure.
At left, in inset, this huge tree was uprooted by the strong blast wind, also on Chickasaw Trail.
A number of other county areas also sustained damage during the storm, according to Mark Woodell, Murray County Emergency Management director.
The storm came through Murray County just after 10:00 a.m. with a strong line of heavy to severe storms that produced heavy rain and winds in excess of 50 miles per hour.
