Sulphur Incumbents Win Reelection

Sulphur incumbent school board and city council members easily won reelection to their posts following last Tuesday’s vote. In the Sulphur Board of Education voting, Benji Sartors was reelected to a second term with 279 votes to 57 for challenger Bill Manion.

In the Sulphur City Council race, voters stayed with incumbent Ryan Peters in his bid for a second term to the council. Peters won by a margin of 187 to 70 votes for challenger Duriel Flowers. In Davis, however, it was a different story as incumbent Mayor Ed Parks lost in his bid for reelection. The vote was 249 for challenger Clint Grinstead to 59 for Parks.
