Sulphur School Board Handles Crowded Agenda At Meeting
After a busy month, the Sulphur Public Schools Board addressed a busy agenda with more than 30 items at its regular meeting Monday, May 7. Several items concerned progress in construction of a new athletic facility. All board members were present for the meeting.
Athletic Director Corey Cole showed the board a floor plan of the proposed facility and a copy of a contract from a proposed construction management firm. Corner, Greer and Associates was approved as the management firm for construction of the facility The board also approved accepting a “private donor gift of a material building kit for the new facility that is valued at $59,685. Cole emphasized that the athletic facility is being built entirely with donated funds.
