Memorial services for Claudell Williams Brinson, 85, Sulphur, will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, at Crossway First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur. Claudell Williams Brinson, 85 years 10 months and 8 days, entered into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 14. She was born February 5, 1931 in Sulphur, to Claude P and Edna R. (Bretch) Williams. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1948. Claudell attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and later the University of Oklahoma where she met a handsome young man, Hugh E. Brinson, Jr. They were married on March 22, 1951, in Sulphur, living in Oklahoma City until 1955 when they decided to make Sulphur their permanent home. Claudell trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and spent the majority of her adult life studying and teaching the Bible. She appreciated the wonder and beauty of God’s creation and loved being outdoors, tending her yard and garden. She valued the high calling of motherhood and was a devoted wife, and mother to her beloved husband and three children, Kris, Kim and Scott. Truly, her “worth” was “far above jewels, (Prov. 31:10). Claudell was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh, on December 7, 2005, her parents C.P. and Edna Williams, and a brother, Robert B. Williams, MD. She is survived by her children, Kris Brinson and wife Bandy, of Sulphur, Kim Woodard of Edmond and Scott Brinson and wife Brenda of Edmond; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sisterin- law, Beverly Williams of Tulsa; and several nieces and nephews.
