Rebekkah Elizabeth Cox
Services for Rebekkah Elizabeth Cox, 38, of Davis, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Vinita Ave. Church of Christ in Sulphur officiated by Gene N Cormier, Jr. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Rebekkah was born March 8, 1981 in Dallas, Texas to Dennis Ray and Elizabeth Sue (Cormier) Long. She passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, at Davis, at the age of 38 years, five months and 23 days.
She grew up in the Davis area, graduating from Davis High School in 1999. She received her Associate’s degree from Murray State College and her Bachelors degree from East Central University in Ada in 2009.
She was devoted to her two boys and nephews, following them closely in their school activities and sports. She enjoyed music concerts, traveling and cruising.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Ada. She was employed by the Chickasaw Nation, Davis Public Schools, and Premium Beers of Oklahoma.
She brought joy to all her friends through her unique humor, laughter and smiles. Her parents are extremely proud of the accomplishments in life.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene Cormier, Sr. and Sam H. and Eva Pearl Long.
She is survived by her two sons, Xavier Ray Cox, and Xander Lionel Cox, of Davis; father, Dennis Long and his wife, Lisa, of Ardmore; her mother, Elizabeth Arif and husband, Shakeel, of Davis; one brother, Toby Ray Long and wife, Florence, of Davis; her grandmother, Wilma Cormier, of Ardmore and nephews, Matthew Coble and Luke Long, of Davis.
Family visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur.
Pallbearers will be Cecil “Bubba” Britt, Nick Luckinbill, Michael Denton, Brooks Rawls, Toby Long, and Gene N. Cormier, III.
Honorary bearers will be Tyler Cates and Eric Cornier.
