Boys Hope To Rebound After Tough Tourney Week

The Sulphur boys had a tough week, finishing 1-2 with a win over Dickson and losses to highly ranked Anadarko and Vanoss.

The Dogs rolled last Tuesday over Dickson 68-47 and then fell to Class 4A No. 4 Anadarko 37-25 in the first round of the Heart of Oklahoma Tournament on Thursday.

Sulphur (10-7) also fell on Friday to Class 2A No. 1 Vanoss, 63-54.

“We showed an ability to contend with some very good teams,” Todd said. “When you are trying to pull off an upset of a really good team, you can’t afford to have mental breakdowns on either end of the floor. And right now, we are still having too many.”
