Girls To Make 8th State Appearance

Shallen Mershon’s Walk-Off, 3-Run Homer Sinks Kingston In Regional Finals

The Sulphur Lady Bulldogs are headed back to a familiar place – the state tournament.

It will be the 8th trip for Sulphur in slow or fast pitch, as the Lady Dogs punched their ticket last week in a big win over Kingston 13-3

Senior Shallen Mershon hit a walk-off, 3-run homer in the win or go home game against Kingston in the regional tournament in Sulphur, advancing the Lady Dogs to the state tourney once again.

“We are very excited to be back in the state tournament for the 4th time in fast pitch,” said Sulphur head coach Heath Gilbert.
