Sulphur will look to get its first win of the season and will look to do so at rival Davis, when the Dogs take on the Wolves on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Sulphur’s Mace Mobly, a senior quarterback and defensive back, was named Player of the Week for his effort in Bulldog’s 34-13 loss to Washington last Friday in a non-district game.
Sulphur hung with highly-ranked Washington for most of the 1st half last Friday, but the explosiveness of the Warriors offense proved to be too much for the Dogs in a 34-13 loss.
The Sulphur Bulldogs charge out of the gate to launch the 2021 season, taking on one of the best teams in Class 4A Tuttle in their home opener last Friday. Although losing to the Tigers, 28-0, their season is still in front of them with road games at Washington this Friday, followed by arch rival Davis on September 10. The team will open the district slate on September 24 at Little Axe.
