Former Sulphur wrestler Dan Baker is picking right back up where he left off last spring, hoping to finish the job this year and bring home a national title.
It was a great weekend for all Sulphur wrestlers at the Midwestern Conference Tournament in Lexington, as the junior high and high school came home with impressive finishes.
Sulphur’s state champion powerlifting team, above, didn’t miss a beat at their first competition of the season last Friday at Dickson, winning easily by 31 points. Three Bulldogs, Luke, Reynolds, Brayden Standifer and Braxton Sanford, all had first place winning efforts. PHOTOS BY LISA WATSON

The Dogs picked up where they left off last year, winning the first powerlifting meet of the year last Friday at Dickson.

It was a tough week for the Lady Dogs, as they finished 4th in the Byng Winter Classic, but lost both games after getting a bye in the opening round.
