The CDC has replaced the Community Levels of COVID-19 infection risk with a new system that includes current hospital admission levels in the U.S. In the color-coded maps, green still is the lowest community transmission risk for getting the virus. This recent map dramatically shows how infection risk has declined across the nation since the Omicron surge little more than a year ago. At that time, this map would have been nearly all red, for maximum community risk levels Covid is no longer an emergency in America due mostly to vaccines and/or infection-acquired immunity in most of the population. Another COVID-19 Phase Emerging

America is gradually putting the worst of the pandemic behind us. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is showing signs of, in its words, “transitioning to the next phase of COVID-19 surveillance and response.”
