The building was split in two sections and moved back to Dougherty last week. Above, one of the sections is slowly being moved along S.H. 7 west back to its final resting place. Dougherty Depot Back Home

The original railroad depot in Dougherty is now back home after serving as a restaurant, west of Sulphur, for a number of years. The building was moved in two pieces back to Dougherty where it served passengers in the early days. The move last Wednesday west along S.H. 7, then south on S.H. 110, slowed traffic for a while and there were a few hurdles in getting under power lines and trees, but it is now back where it originated.
