Rep. Cole Becomes Longest Serving Native American In The House
Moore, OK – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma, became the longest serving Native American in the U.S. House of Representatives. The previous record was also held by an Oklahoman and member of the Chickasaw Nation, former Congressman Charles David Carter, who served in the House for a total of 7,048 days.
